How does using Delta-8 THC topically work?

Studies have found that the cannabinoid offers analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, with the former desensitizing pain receptors in the nervous system, and the latter regulating the body's inflammatory response that can lead to pain as well as skin conditions.
