At Humble Alternative, we handcraft and ship every order with care from our family farm and workshop in Southwest Michigan. We're a small team, not a warehouse—and every package is made with intention and love.


SHIPPING INFO

When will my order ship?

We ship orders Monday through Friday. Most orders are processed and shipped the same day, or next-day. During sales or high-volume periods, it may take a little longer—but we always do our best to stay prompt!

How much is shipping?

We offer 3 shipping options:

  • Free shipping on orders over $75
  • USPS Ground Advantage (3–7 business days): $5.00
  • USPS Priority Shipping (3–5 business days): $9.25
  • UPS Ground - lower 48 states only (2–7 business days): $12.00

How will my order ship?

We use USPS for most orders, with tracking included. You’ll receive a tracking email once your order is on its way.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free U.S. shipping on all orders over $75. No code needed—it’s automatic.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within the United States only.

Hot weather shipping notice:

Some items (like salves, whipped body butters, lip balms or tallow-based products, etc) may soften or melt in warm climates. We recommend choosing priority shipping or adding an ice pack if you're in a hot area or ordering during summer months.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Can I return a product?

Because our products are consumable and personal-use, we’re not able to accept returns or offer refunds if a product doesn’t “work” for you. Natural wellness products can affect everyone differently, and results may vary.

That said, your satisfaction is very important to us. Sometimes it’s a matter of dosing, timing, or finding the right product match — and we’re happy to help troubleshoot with you. If you’re unhappy with your order, please reach out to us at hello@humblealternative.com and we’ll do our best to make it right.

What if my order is damaged, incorrect, or missing something?

Email us at hello@humblealternative.com within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number and a photo if applicable. We’ll take care of it quickly.

What if my product melts during shipping?

Some of our products — like salves and whipped tallows — are more sensitive to warm weather and may soften or melt in transit. To help minimize this risk, we offer optional ice packs that you can add to your order for $3.50. Additionally, you can select Priority Mail at checkout to get package faster. 

Even with an ice pack, we cannot guarantee that products won’t melt during shipping. If your item arrives soft, simply place it in the refrigerator to firm it back up — it will still be safe and effective to use.

Please note:

  • Tallow is at higher risk when temperatures are over 75°F.

  • Salves are at higher risk when temperatures are over 85°F.

Because this is a natural part of shipping heat-sensitive items, we cannot offer returns or refunds on melted products. We encourage you to plan accordingly and order at your own risk during warmer months.

What if I entered the wrong address?

Please double-check your shipping info before placing your order! If you notice an error, email us ASAP. Once the order has shipped, we’re unable to reroute it—but if it gets returned to us, we can reship it (additional shipping fees may apply).
