FAQs

General THC Questions

+ What is Delta-9 THC?

Delta-9 THC is the most well-known form of THC and the main psychoactive compound found in marijuana. It’s responsible for the strong “high” and intense effects people typically associate with cannabis.

+ What is Delta-8 THC?

Delta-8 THC is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in small amounts in hemp. It’s similar to Delta-9 THC (the main form in marijuana) but is known for producing milder, more clear-headed effects that many people find relaxing without being overwhelming.

+ What is the difference between Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC?

Both Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC can create a psychoactive experience, but Delta-8 is generally less intense, and also well-suited for evening use and sleep, it's not usually best suited for daytime use. Whereas Delta-9 THC, can typically be tolerated any time of day. Many people find Delta-8 offers a more functional, laid-back vibe compared to the stronger high from Delta-9 THC. Effects from THC will vary from person to person. It's advised to start with a very small dose and gradullay work your way up over the course of a few weeks, until you find your "sweet spot".

+ What is THCA?

THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the raw, non-psychoactive form of THC found in fresh hemp or cannabis flower. When THCA is heated, like when smoking or baking, it converts to Delta-9 THC and becomes psychoactive.

+ Is THC legal?

Hemp-derived THC products like Delta-8 THC, Delta-9 THC and THCA are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill if they contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. However, state laws vary, and some states restrict or ban certain types of THC. Everything we sell is federally legal, but it’s always the customer’s responsibility to know and follow their local laws before ordering.

+ Will Delta-8 THC, Delta-9 THC or THCA show up on a drug test?

Yes. Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC and THCA (when converted to THC) will trigger a positive result on a standard cannabis drug test, which usually checks for THC metabolites. If you’re drug tested, use caution.

+ Does THC and THCA get me high?

Yes, THC (like Delta-8 or Delta-9) is psychoactive, which means it can create a “high” feeling. The intensity depends on the type, your dose, and your personal tolerance. THCA when in it's raw form is non-psychoactive until it’s heated. Once heated (like when smoking, vaping, or baking), THCA converts to Delta-9 THC, which does produce a high.

+ How much THC should I take?

Everyone’s ideal THC serving is different and depends on your body, tolerance, and goals. If you’re new, start low and slow: with Delta-8 or Delta-9, that might mean 1–5 mg for beginners. For gummies, many people start with 1/4th or 1/2 of a gummy and wait at least 3 hours before taking more. For tinctures, begin with just a couple drops and increase gradually until you find what feels best for you.

General CBD Questions

+ What is CBD and how does it work?

CBD (short for cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. It interacts with your body’s endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate pain, sleep, immune response, mood, and more.

+ Will CBD get me high?

Nope! CBD is non-psychoactive. Some of our full spectrum products contain trace THC (under 0.3%) to boost effectiveness. We also carry higher-THC items that are psychoactive, so please read listings carefully.

+ How long does it take for CBD to work?

Tinctures may kick in within 15–45 minutes, edibles can take 30–90 minutes, and topicals are best for targeted relief. Consistent use is key for chronic concerns.

+ Will CBD show up on a drug test?

CBD itself doesn’t trigger positive drug tests, but full spectrum products with trace THC might. Choose THC-free options if you're concerned.

+ Is CBD legal?

Yes—CBD from hemp with less than 0.3% THC is federally legal in the U.S. under the 2018 Farm Bill. Some states may have additional restrictions.

+ Can I take CBD with my medication?

CBD can interact with some medications, especially those processed by the liver. Always talk with your healthcare provider before using CBD with prescriptions.

+ Is CBD safe for kids?

Many parents use CBD under pediatric guidance, especially for sleep, anxiety, or seizures. Always start low and consult your pediatrician.

+ How much CBD should I take?

Everyone's needs are different. Start low, increase gradually, and reference our CBD Dosage Guide for tips.

CBD for Pets

+ Can I give CBD to pets?

Yes! Dogs, cats, and even small animals like rabbits can safely use CBD. We make an unflavored Pet CBD Oil specifically for them using only Full Spectrum CBD and organic MCT oil.

+ How much CBD should I give my pet?

That depends on their size and health needs. See our Pet CBD Guide for detailed recommendations.

+ Is it safe to give CBD to older pets or those on medication?

In most cases, yes—but always start slow and consult your vet, especially if your pet is on prescription meds or has health concerns.

+ Do your products contain allergens like soy, gluten, or dairy?

Most of our products are free from common allergens, but always check the ingredient list. We clearly label any items that contain potential allergens like coconut, soy, or essential oils.
