Delta-8: Frequently Asked Questions
1st Oct 2021
What is Delta-8 THC?
Delta-8 THC is a close analogue to regular delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound responsible for the psychoactive effects of traditional cannabis plants. The Delta-8 products we sell are 100% hemp derived.
What do the effects feel like?
Delta-8 edibles and concentrates produce a mellower form of the “high” people feel when they consume cannabis and regular THC concentrates. You may experience a relaxed, “stoned” feeling that may be accompanied by an urge to snack, listen to music, or embark on a creative project. Most people report that consuming delta-8 products leaves them feeling more clear-headed than traditional THC.
Will it show up on a drug test?
Yes. Unfortunately, delta-8 has a high likelihood of showing up on a drug test.
Are there side effects?
Scientific research still has a long road ahead before we can fully understand cannabis compounds like delta 8 THC, and any potential side-effects haven’t been investigated thoroughly. Accounts from consumers report few adverse reactions, apart from increased appetite and slight drowsiness. Delta-8 consumers should exercise the same caution when driving or operating heavy machinery as they would with any intoxicant.
When do I feel the effects?
When inhaled via a joint, Delta 8 onset is almost immediate - 20 minutes. When consuming edibles, onset is anywhere from 1-4 hours which is longer than traditional THC edibles. Wait at least 4 hours after your first dose before consuming more of an edible to avoid feeling "too high". Start with 5-10mg (which can be a partial piece of a gummy) per dose until you know how you will respond to D8.
